Awards and Honors

Dr. Clifford Packer's editorial, "Cola-induced hypokalemia: a super-sized problem," was the most-read article in International Journal of Clinical Practice for the year 2009.

Dr. Amitabh Chak is the recipient of 2010 American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Distinguished Endoscopic Research Mentoring Award.

Dr. Alan Levine received  a Sub-Contract of an R01 titled "Impacts of Universal Access to HIV/AIDS Care Among HIV+ Injection Drug Users".

Dr. Neal Meropol was reelected to a 3 year term as chair of the NCI GI Steering Committee Colon Cancer Task Force.

Dr. Donald Hricik received renewal  of U01 titled "Individualizing Therapy for Kidney and Heart Transplant Recipients".
