Brief Biography ::
Dr. Frank Jacono did his undergraduate training at CWRU and then completed his doctorate in medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine here at University Hospitals. He currently is an assistant professor in the division of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at CWRU, section chief of the Pulmonary critical care division at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs as well as full time faculty member here at UHCMC Department of Medicine. He is currently the PI of a grant exploring the prognostic and therapeutic implications of breathing patterns in acute lung injury as well as the Co-PI in a grant exploring the respiratory circuit dysfunction in Rett Syndrome. He not only is well published himself as an investigator and researcher but also is known for his mentoring of house staff and fellows both in the clinical and research setting.
